Paul, these are stress fractures from putting a lot of sideways force on the umbrella knuckle. Often times it's from folks setting their golf bag on top of the cart when it is folded up in the back of the car.
“I bought the umbrella holder
3weeks a go. But it is broken
Normal using. See attached
photo.
I'm looking for an other umbrella holder size like a 2".
Please let me know.”
“Great design using elastic band to hold umbrella in place. Work well in windy conditions. It is design similar to competitor and previously had suggested CartTek look at that vendor umbrella holder design. Great to have this option.
Only issue is the diameter of tube holding umbrella handle is smaller than previous model, so my umbrella does not fit in this new umbrella holder. I'll be forced to buy new umbrella to use the holder. This becomes a more expensive item.”
“My umbrella wobbled in this holder and after several uses the umbrella holder snapped off from I assume the repeated wobbling. I had better luck with the original holder with the screw tightener which lasted a few years.”
“The original umbrella holder was not good because it would not secure the umbrella handle so I ordered the one with the elastic band which prevented the umbrella from lifting out of the holder when a little windy but be careful when not going on level ground because if there is a gust of wind, your cart will tip over and if it does will snap the bracket that's connected to the cart. I had to order another one because of that.”
