“my first one broke, inside mechanism seems a little flimsy. If nothing else, should come w/ special instructions to make sure the lock mechanism is completely out of the way before putting umbrella in. Also to make sure when retracting you don't go to far. Each of these things tend to pop off the plastic piece on the end of the adjuster nut.”
“I recently purchased the GRi-1500LTD cart and I would like to share my experience. First of all I researched all of the reviews that I could find on this and other electric carts. While many had favorable reviews, I was amazed at the number of positive reviews and absence of negative reviews about the Cart Tek.
I went to the website and found the explanation of the features and comparison with the other Cart Tek carts very easy to understand and the site was easy to navigate. The ordering process was straight forward and easy to complete as well.
I received an email notification that my order was received and frequent updates on when it would be ready and when it would be shipped. It was completed and shipped as promised and arrived on the day that it was scheduled to arrive.
The cart was well packed in the shipping container and assembly was simple. The instruction booklet that came with it was clear and easy to follow. When I tested it, it worked flawlessly.
When I took it to the golf course for the first time, it navigated some rather steep slopes with out any problem and even remained upright when my buddy's Bat-Caddy turned over. The wheel base on the Cart Tek is definitely wider and more stable.
The only problem that I had was that the first time I used the umbrella holder, an internal part broke. I contacted customer service by email and they sent me a replacement umbrella holder the next day at no additional charge.
Suggestion: Carry extra batteries for the remote in your bag and a small Phillips screwdriver to replace the batteries. If your batteries in the remote do fail, it is very easy to convert to the "manual" mode in which the cart is powered and you hand guide it. You can do this until you have a chance to replace the remote batteries.
I have no regrets in choosing the Cart Tek over the competitors and I recommend it without reservation.”
