One annoyance—on your order you can specify the shipping date, since its important to be home at time of delivery, so they go right into the freezer. Well Chesapeake Bay and Mackenzie, state they can ignore your request if they choose to. If you are going to ignore a request, then don't offer the option. Very frustrating and customer service is high handed in their response, “we reserve the right to ship early if we choose”. Five star quality and taste, 3 star customer service! So it averages to 4.”
“The perfect crab cakes were delicious and full of crab. Not filler like other brands. Our only issue was the trace amount of shell involved. I understand it is probably impossible to successfully remove all the shell when creating a crab cake- but didn't expect there to be shell remnants in 8-15 bites of the crab cake. Especially for the price.”
“I love the crab cakes themselves. I have ordered them numerous times in the past. My issue is with the communication this time. Usually I get a shipping notice and a delivery notice. Got nothing this time and they were delivered outside, only to be discovered a day later. Hopefully they are still OK to eat. Dry ice was completely gone.”
