“ChessUp is a fantastic chess board with very good opportunities. The hardware is super, however the software and App are very limited.
Features that should be added are:
- Setting up a position (in the App —> sending the position to the board). This is essential for a computer chessboard to increase you chess skills
- Debugging pgn export (now often the pgn is not complete and analysis crashes).
- Higher chess engine level (to 1800 ELO) when not connected to the app.
- Increasing the chess AI thinking speed when not connected to the board. Only when this is possible with current hardware.
- Changing of the AI chess engine level or Assistance level (via the app) during a game for analysis. This is also important for analysis of chess game positions.”
“I am brand new to Chess and this was the BEST purchase!! The tutorials are amazing and it is really teaching me how to play! The Chess board is beautiful and very well constructed. Every piece is made so well! The one feature I love the most though is I can play a game against my nephew and we aren’t even in the same house! This online feature if you will is just so great! You guys and gals really made a great game come to life!”
“I had to wait a little longer for delivery than I thought (almost one month), but it was well worth it.
It meets all my expectations. I am very happy with it and satisfied with the product.
The figures are nicely developed and the board works flawlessly.
I hope that the development of the application will continue, because at the moment it still feels a little rudimentary, but it has a lot of potential.
I strongly recommend it to everyone who likes to play chess in their free time.”
“The board lived up to my expectations and played well. I am pleased with the color system and the AI.
However, the shipping delays made the whole business a bad experience. I waited from late June (then the shipping should have arrived, being already late for a month).
Then after that, no more dates came so I had to contact ChessUp via e-mail two times for something to happen. The board came finally at the beginning of August.”
