A unique place in the world to have had the priviledge to visit. We had penguins sitting on our feet & nestling into us. Saw whales, seals, albatross, icebergs, spectacular scenery & walked on ice flows!!! Reached the furthest South for the season - 68 degrees south - Stonington Base. Plus we were lucky enough to have a smooth sail across the Drake Passage - in both directions. It is a definite destination to put on your bucket list. Thank you Clare & Chimu for your excellent planning & organisation for our holiday.

Experience on the Akademik Ioffee was superb. The excursions by zodiac were impressive. Seals, whales and a lot of penguins were surrounding me. Don't miss camping on ice! Meals on-board were sumptuous. Best of all, staffs are super friendly and service-minded.

The Expedition Leader and naturalist guides/drivers were knowledgable, experienced and professional. The itinerary went off without a hitch (thanks to good weather) fromthe first greeting and prep talk at the Dreams hotel to the flight and then the cruise. Susan at Chimu was wonderful. She found us a great deal on the Antarctic cruise, was very responsive and patient with all out questions.

G Adventures 11 day cruise to Antarctica was incredible. Staff were so caring and thoughtful throughout, helping with seasickness, food allergies and mobility issues without hesitation. We had a couple issues with hotel booking and city tour being cancelled in Buenos Aires and poor contact from the Chimu Office there. Still waiting for city tour refund. Australian Office provided excellent support beforehand.

I've traveled the world but Antarctica is by far the most fascinating experience. Otherworldly.

Overall the trip was really good and we had a great time. There were a few points that Chimu might like to take on board; - There was no welcome package for us at The Dazzler hotel upon arrival in Bueno Aries. The hotel is not particularly good at passing on information that local Chimu offices had left for us and we were often in the dark about when our driver was going to meet us to take us to the local or international airport. - There was, apparently, a return flight from Bueno Aries International (EZE) to Ushuaia which meant that it might have been possible to get a connection from LHR-EZE-Ushuaia on the same day without having to have an overnight in Bueno Aries plus a flight from the domestic airport when we arrived. - Chimu did not advise us, in advance, that it would not be possible to book camping overnight in Antarctica or any kayaking on board the Plancius as this was all booked up months before we booked. Otherwise it was terrific trip even including the Drake Shakes on the way back from Antarctica.
