“The whole trip was well organized an led us to stunning places! We were able to come really close with the wildlife and learnd a lot about our destinations history, fauna and environment. The days were packed with landings, different activities and lectures, so we were always busy!”
“Overall outstanding but I was disappointed that the Chimu brochure mentioned a possible landing on the island of Cape Horn (weather permitting) but in asking the QUARK expedition leader why we by-passed the Island was told a landing was never in our Itinerary. False advertising ???”
“I had a very firm picture of what I expected Antarctica to be like, and it exceeded all my wildest dreams! What surprised me most was the variety, so many different weather conditions which helped make places just a few miles apart seem vastly different. We were also given such a variety of ways to experience Antarctica, through wildlife sighting, camping, zodiac rides, hiking, historical places, scientific seminars... never time to get bored, rarely even time to write a diary! The ship (Sea Adventurer) was comfortable and practical - the library and the bridge became 2 of my favourite places. The food on board was great quality and very plentiful and the staff were helpful and friendly across the board. I cannot recommend this highly enough!”
“Trip of a lifetime is only scratching the surface of what I felt after taking this trip. I was on a 12day trip on the Sea Adventurer that was specially chartered by Chimu for a charity foundation, McGrath Foundation. So not only was it going on a dream trip it was also supporting a great cause. Everything about the trip was amazing, we were lucky enough to have brilliant weather and get to see about everything we possibly could in our 12 day trip. Even when there was a minor issue of communication that originally had me off the list of one of the activities I'd signed up for it was fixed right away and I did not miss out on anything. The expedition crew were all very friendly and knowledgeable and could help answer any questions you had on Antarctica. The crew of the ship were also very friendly and very professional and made the trip easy as could be. The only complaint I can have was it was such a great trip that now it seems hard to be excited about going anywhere else, all I want to do is go on this trip again.”
“My trip to Antarctica was beyond any of my expectations. From the moment we arrived at Sydney Airport, to when we touched down again two weeks later, everything ran so smoothly and very professional. There are no words to describe my experience and there's simply no video's or photographs that capture the pure magic that is Antarctica - you just have to experience it for yourself, and everyones experience is different. I saw whales that swam around our zodiac boat, seals and lots and lots of penguins, but nothing was as breathtaking as the beauty and serenity that is Antarctica. Staff on board the Sea Adventurer are not only incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable, they are also incredibly friendly. It felt as though I had known them for a long time and infact it was really sad to say goodbye. The only negative I have is the food is too good!!!!! Even using my strongest willpower I couldn't say no to the amazing food that was on offer - curse you fresh baked cookies that sit at the coffee and tea station all day every day!!!! I have no problems-and have already done so-in recommending Chimu Adventures to my friends and family. They were absolutely fantastic and I look forward to traveling with them again in the near future”
“Polar Latitudes does a great job with cruise and land-side activities. Sea Explorer is a comfortable ship, excellent food, and friendly/efficient staff.”
“Everything about the trip was fantastic. I have no complaints whatsoever. I would recommend the Sea Adventurer as a perfect ship for adventure/expedition travel because of the two public decks surrounding the ship.”
