“We loved the snorkelling – seeing sea lions play, super-speedy penguins swim and large sea iguanas seeking a feed on the seaweed.
A highlight was when we had just jumped in the water and found ourselves swimming amongst 3 species of turtle -Brown, Green and Hawksbill.
What a thrill!
We delighted in watching the birds-especially the blue-footed Boobies. How amazing to see them dive “kamikaze” from a good height to feed on schools of fish. They were also so cute perched on their rocks and looking around at us as our zodiac passed.
A highlight of our trip was an afternoon exploration of the Coastal Mangroves. The water was very clear and we saw rays and turtles.
We were fascinated to witness a “tooth and nail” fight to the death between a sea lion and a very large octopus.
The seal lion kept bringing the octopus above the surface and banging it savagely on the water.
The octopus was trying to strangle the sea lion with its tentacles.
The sea lion won and would have enjoyed a well-deserved meal.
If you have the Galapagos on your bucket list, we absolutely recommend you sail on The Infinity Ship.
We guarantee you will love it!”
