“This is our second trip with Chimu. We have found them to be very professional and knowledgeable across all aspects of planning, booking and organizing the trips. The itineraries they prepared were excellent and we were extremely well looked after in each of the places we visited.”

Were any of the activities you participated in during your trip designed to protect the environment? If so, please share details about your experience. Everything was so very respectful to the environment.

Were you able to connect with local communities during your trip? If so, please share your experiences. Yes! I made some friends and sent packages back to them once I arrived home.

Were there any activities that you wanted to experience that were not included? I would have like to be able to join in on the kayaking, all places where taken. Although I don’t think I would want to do it twice a day every day.

We are always looking at ways to improve our sustainability efforts. Can you tell us about any initiatives you saw at the accommodations you stayed at to conserve energy or reduce waste? Please specify the town/city and hotel name where you observed these NA

Were any of the activities you participated in during your trip designed to protect the environment? If so, please share details about your experience. Every trip off the vessel was very well monitored with the environment in mind as well as returning to the ship.

Please share your thoughts on any specific tours or hotels that you would recommend or would not recommend? All of our tours and activities ran smoothly, the locations were spectacular and our guides were extremely knowledgable and helpful. On the last two days of our trip we were very lucky to have our excellent and friendly guide, Hugo, all to ourselves.

Were any of the activities you participated in during your trip designed to protect the environment? If so, please share details about your experience. Our ship for the cruise through Tierra del Fuego was especially designed for those waterways, and our guides on the ship were very careful to explain how they were participating in caring for that environment.

Please share your thoughts on any specific tours or hotels that you would recommend or would not recommend? W trek was much busier than we expected - often having to wait for groups to pass by on the tracks. It is a very popular desitnation so don't expect solitude.

Were any of the activities you participated in during your trip designed to protect the environment? If so, please share details about your experience. The opposite actually. The number of vistors to the Torres Del Paine is causing considerable track damage in many places.

Were you able to connect with local communities during your trip? If so, please share your experiences. Yep - had a wonderful local guide trip in Puenta Arenas- learnt a hep about the history of Patagonia and got invited to share Mate with teh guide and driver in a small local cafe

“Scenery and history was wonderful and very interesting. We felt safe always. Some locations were very popular and busy but that is possibly going to improve as more areas are opened up as national parks. Claims of how remote we were was for an Australian used to serious outback travel perhaps a bit quaint. All Chimu's organisation worked flawlessly.”
