Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. Organisation of pickups and drop offs to and from the various airports. Communication with the guides through WhatsApp was also very good.

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought needs improving Due to time restraints, at Iguazu Falls, we were rushed and didn't enjoy the Brazilian side. This was because of an unscheduled helicopter flight. This could have been avoided by splitting the group into two groups, those that were flying out from the Argentine side v the Brazil side. Also, one less day in the Amazon basin would have worked better. A direct flight to Quito (even if it was via Lima), would have been more convenient.

“Guides were amazing and the co-ordination of daily excursions was excellent. Accommodation was excellent throughout all of the trip. The scenery and activiities were fantastic.”

Were you satisfied with the efforts taken to minimize environmental impacts during your trip?

“We booked a recent trip to South America and Antarctica with Flight Centre. They suggested Chimu as a tour operator. Who suggested Polar Expeditions. All involved put together a great itinerary that included stopovers/activities in Buenos Aires, Ushuaia and Iguazu. FC allowed sufficient travel times and layovers. The tours and locations were great and interesting. Polar Expeditions and the Ocean Albatross crew over delivered on their promises at every juncture. We were blessed with good weather so every excursion off the boat happened. The on board scientists/expedition team added value to the trip. I recommend booking an excursion not a cruise. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city and the few days we spent there and excursions were good. In Ushuaia we visited Tierra del Fuego National Park, it’s well worthwhile. In Iguazu the excursions are incredible and a must do. We learnt to trust our itinerary, it flowed well and was fit for purpose. From Aus, South America and Antarctica is not a chap trip, but it is so worth it.”

“clients words: Lima we enjoyed and onto Cusco and the Sacred Valley which was so beautiful , Machu Picchu was all that we had hope for and more Our trip to the Amazon basin and our stay at the Tambopata Research Centre was all that we hoped for also All were not to be missed All our accommodation / hotels were excellent, the guides in each place were very good, the organising in regards to pick ups drop offs and info on Whats App received from Chimu never missed a beat”

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. The days on shore, hiking and experiencing the wildlife and the sea days were filled with interesting and very professional presentations on relevant aspects of the trip.

“The expedition team members were very knowledgeable and were responsible for creating a memorable experience. The ship was relatively small meaning it could sail into small bays and the ship's crew and hotel staff were very helpful.”

Describe the aspects of your itinerary that you thought worked really well. The stay in Torres Del Paine was outstanding, Buenos Aires was also fab and the guide that took us on the walking tour was absolutely brilliant
