I bought this watch on a trip through the Panama Canal. and I love the style and quality of it. This is my second Citizen watch and I may never buy any other brand.

I bought this watch around six months ago and it met all of my expectations. The watch face has a timeless design, the watch is quality made, and it keeps accurate time. The only downside to this watch is the band. I am not rough to my watch and the band is already showing a lot of scratches. Also, my watchband hit a friend's watch and the band fell off. The pin that held the clasp and the band together popped out. I took it to the jeweler I bought it from, and he fixed it immediately at no cost. It wasn't too much of a hassle but, our watches didn't hit with a hard, blunt force at all. In conclusion, if you are wanting a quality watch for a great price, you should buy this. It doesn't need battery replacements and it isn't expensive like a Swiss mechanical watch.

I was attracted to the styling and contrast between the face plate and the arms. Its size was just right for my taste, not too big, not too small (sounds like the "Three Little Bears" - HA!). The weight seemed heavy but, in its defense, I haven't worn a watch in eight years. It has stood up to the abuse of my job at an automobile garage. Overall, I have been extremely pleased with its looks, durability and performance (but, then again, I haven't had it very long).

I've had this watch for about a month now, and I really like it. It fits well, feels good, and looks good as well. I also like how readable it is. I know most people think of watches as decoration, but I like the functionality, so the readability is very nice with this watch.

I was searching for a comparable replacement for a watch I had for about twenty years. The Citizen Sport Watch had everything I was looking for,12/24 time, protected crown, stainless steel case and 100 meter water resistance. My only complaint is the clasp isn't tight when closed and sometimes snags on furniture or clothing. Other than the clasp issue the watch is great , looks good and has good features. The clasp issue the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

I purchased this watch 12/21/2016...a Christmas present to myself after my wife said "go for it"....she knew my old watch had exceeded its life expectancy. I went looking for a watch with a stainless steel body that included the day/date feature. My previous watch kept good time, served me well for about 8 years, but the case eventually corroded because it was not a stainless body (although it looked like stainless). It was not an expensive watch (Timex); I may have paid $50 or so for it eight years ago. I found this Citizen Sport watch at a respected local jeweler after looking around at watches that were less expensive. My personal preference was for a watch face with white background & black numbers (this particular watch has a black face & white numbers), but I didn't see a watch like that available. Interesting that this watch is powered by light (no battery). I didn't purchase the watch particularly for that feature, but more for readability of the numbers, its simplicity, the day/date feature, and the stainless steel body. The weight of the watch is heavier than my old Timex watch, yet also appears to be more ruggedly constructed...and of course my old Timex did not generate its own power. Note: This watch does not have a lighted face. The numbers & hands are fluorescent.
