I am a soldier who does soldier things. I bought this watch not expecting much and I was surprised. My high dollar Swiss watches now reside in a case at home. This watch has seen me through almost ten years of constant use and abuse. It withstands the shock of heavy recoil, immersion in salt and fresh water environments and all operating temperatures from -50C to positive 50C. I replace the strap about once a year but it's a small price to pay. If this one died, I'd buy another. For the money, really for many times the price, the perfect time keeping coupled with the durability makes this a bargain. Buy with confidence.

The watch keeps perfect time. It’s pretty much soldier proof. The strap though lets the watch down. I’ve gone through three in four years. For a working watch, that’s not ideal. I’d certainly recommend a metal bracelet.

Had this for about 5~7years still working keeping the time very accurate. Haven’t had any maintenance. went through ocean and waterfalls, hiking and everyday use for about 3years. This watch is pretty much my starter of watch collection. Fell in love with the unique black dial. And yes the band sucks really bad but watch is tough and good looking. I put it as 4 stars because of the band. If anything just get a S/S bracelet it doesn’t look bad at all but tough to find the right one. 22mm or 24mm forgot which one.

I purchased this watch in 2014 for a Diving trip. I absolutely love it and It is my to-go daily watch (Corporate office, fancy reception, hiking, skiing, etc.). It's a tank that has survived -40 C in Canada as well as 70ft dives. I agree with other comments, this watch shines more in the water than in any other place and it's very elegant to wear. I may also never have a need to replace it because I just can’t kill it which means you won’t see me buying another dive watch anytime soon. The band is the only minus to this amazing product. This is the second time in a 6 years period that the band wears off, starts to crack and literally breaks while wearing my watch... Sadly since it's very specific to Citizen, I can't find a 23mm lug metal band to would last longer. The garanty never covered the band either so it's a bummer. Apart from having a short-lasting band, this watch is just incredible, I hope to never change it.

I have owned this model for many years, and it has seen the seven seas to say the least. from Rec./Business diving off Hawaii, Japan, Diego Garcia BOIT, Guam and yes even in the Persian Gulf. I am on my 10th band and the crown lettering is fading away, but the watch keeps great time after all of the use it's gotten. Wish I could send it in for a checkup, and cleaning but the service information is dated.

watch is thicker than I assumed. I should have read the measurements. The date window is too small to even see, should not have bothered. Nice watch though. Glad it's Eco-Drive.
