“This is a watch I’ve had my eyes on for years. Top of my “wish list”. It’s extremely durable and looks amazing. Joking aside, if the world were to go to south, post apocalyptic/dystopian times this would be a watch I’d have to have. The only thing missing is an alarm ;)”

“I've bought Two of them over recent years, in black. That's how much I've liked it. Very functional and aesthetic design. Very easy to see what the actial time is! even at at a slight glance. It gets compliments and makes a impression, though I didn't buy it for that. I'd strongly suggest Citizen keeping this core design aesthetic and evolving pushing it forward, instead of discontinuing the line eventually. And get more technically and aestheticlly creative with the band/strap options. Takes daily wear very well, and can definitely handle wear during recreational/sports activity. But the band can indeed wear out along the buckle-holes area, and if you drop the watch and it lands square on the face of the crystal? It can fracture. Happened in my kitchen... not Kilimanjaro ;-) The outer bezel is free-rotating, which is bad. IT SHOULD HAVE CLICKS! It moves too easily if anything brushes against the watch, so when orienteering it WILL move after setting your bearing. The eco-drive system is truly excellent.”

“I bought this watch for a trip to the Colorado mountains so I could keep track of altitude and direction. The watch was spot on the entire trip. The look of the watch is elegant, wears well, easy to read and use the features. I would highly recommend this watch!”

“What an interesting watch. My first citizen, I’ve only had it for a couple weeks and it continues to impress me. The altimeter function is accurate, the dance that it does when you activate it is always fun to watch. It is a barometric altimeter so it varies with changes in weather, this does help with understanding approaching high or low pressure weather events. The altimeter use very useful for my outdoor activities and I use it more than I thought I would. The compass is a nice addition & always has been accurate. The features, and quality of feel keeps me hopeful that this timepiece will be part of my everyday for years to come”

“Like many I have owned other Citizen watches and have never been disappointed. The Promaster Altichron is no exception at all. This is a very sharp watch. Not difficult to use. Some reviews have mentioned that the hands do not remain illuminated through the night. Well mine apparently is the exception, because it loses nothing as far as illumination all night long. Extremely pleased with everything about this watch. I did change the band, simply because I have a preference in watchbands that are larger. Just a personal thing. It is a decent sized timepiece for sure. Without any hesitation I highly recommend. As I said before. Citizen in my opinion makes excellent watches. Period. I am not easy on them at all, but they have never let me down. When I put a watch on, well it is on. I wear it literally 24/7. Comes off to shower and that is it. Thank you Citizen for once again making a classic, functional and great looking watch.”
