I purchased this watch years ago on sale at a local Kay Jewelers, it was priced $200 or $300 off the MSRP of $499. It's been worn through two combat deployments and years before and since. I am rough on my watches and outside of the band being worn and the crystal slightly scratched from repeatedly being hit by steel, it has held up wonderfully.

Ordered this watch as a hotel points premium several months ago. Only saw the online representation of it. Never saw an example in person until it arrived at my door. I was really excited when I placed the order, as I already own a couple other Citizen watches and those have always been among my favorites. But wow! What a MASSIVE disappointment when I first opened the box! The face, the hashmarks and numerals, all three secondary dials and the primary hands are ALL virtually the same shade of black! Most definitely does not show the same contrast as shown on the Citizen website. Who designs a watch like this! Completely unreadable indoors, in a vehicle or on a plane. Very nearly unreadable outdoors, especially with sunglasses on unless it is in extremly direct sunlight! This watch is completely amazing in as far as just how utterly useless it actually is! No way I would have EVER chosen this watch in person. Otherwise, the traditional Citizen quality of materials and workmanship is certainly there, and I guess it does look pretty good on my wrist. I just can't use it to actually tell the time of day. My recommendation to anyone considering this watch as an online purchase for yourself or as a gift.... Seek out a nearby Citizen dealer and try to see one in person first. I so wish now that I had done so.....

My wife bought this watch for me for my birthday. I love the style of the watch, I wear it almost every day to work (office environment). The other day, my watch fell off because the pin that holds the safety clasp broke. I brought it to the local store where she purchased it, and they were unable to fix it b/c they did not stock the pin. I called Citizen customer service and they advised me that they do not warranty the band or clasp. They also do not offer a pin replacement part; I would have to buy the entire clasp. $50+ How ridiculous! This will likely be my first and last Citizen Watch.

I was looking for a new watch for my Fire/EMS job. This is absolutely stunning to wear. I love the Citizens Eco Drive series. It isn't very heavy or bulky. The sleek black and subdued numbering goes well with the typical emergency services apparel. Right on point. Excellent gift for someone in Fire/EMS/LEO!
