I purchased this piece with very high hopes and was let down tremendously. First, there were multiple defects on the case and bezel. The quality assurance wherever this was manufactured was terrible. Second, the overall quality of the bracelet was far beneath expectations. Cheap feeling and low grade steel, not to mention a stamped clasp. Uneven polishing and some of the brushed finish bear the clasp was rubbing off, despite never being worn. I love the design and aesthetic of the piece but the poor quality left much to be desired. Already shipped back for return.

The radio controlled Eco-Drive is the only way to go. This is my second such watch, the first of which is in need of repair after 5.5 years of daily service. Upon receiving this watch and charging it, I set it on the window ledge, pushed a button for manual update and 15 minutes later the watch was properly set with correct date and time. Couldn't have been easier to set. I will note that the on-line manual fails to discuss how to resize bracelet. I did accomplish this on my own though.
