Looking for chilled-out London activities to help you escape the hustle and bustle of the city? Sit back, relax and get creative with clay at this pottery making workshop in Stoke Newington!

During this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn all the tips and tricks needed to transform handmade clay into bespoke pottery pieces. Your expert guide will demonstrate hand-building techniques using coils and slabs before covering wheel throwing as you prepare to get hands-on with your clay!

At the end of the class, your beautiful pottery pieces will be taken away to be biscuit fired and glazed, ready to collect after 4 weeks to display at home or give away as handmade gifts!

Please note:
- This Workshop is only for age 11 or above.
- Your finished pieces will be fired and glazed, ready to collect 4 weeks after the class.
- A materials fee of £5 per piece of pottery kept is NOT included in the class and is payable on the day of your workshop.
-Pieces are ready around 4-5 weeks after the class. We will send you an email when they are ready to be collected. Please check you email and spam folder. We will keep your pots in the studio for a month. If not collected in time they may be disposed of.
- It is your responsibility to arrive on time for the class. Upon arriving to your class 30 minutes or later, we have the right to reject you joining the class without any refund or rescheduling.
- No cancellations or reschedules allowed.
- During summer, there is no air conditioning in the studio, so please bring water and dress for the heat!
- During winter, it would be a bit cold in the studio. Whilst we try our best to keep the studio warm, please prepare an extra coat or clothes to keep yourself warm during class.
- Please enter and leave the studio quietly - the studio is in the middle of the neighbourhood!

*** Please note that due to the nature of clay, results may differ from expectation, including but not limited to:
- Glaze may vary from examples and are for reference only
- Texture created may not shown in the final result
- Pots will appear smaller from what you created from class, since clay have a 15% shrinkage
- Pots may not be completely cleaned and may have small lumps of clay
- Pots may be cracked or exploded

We try our best to mitigate this problem but these are inevitable. Unfortunately, the class is non-refundable and we are only able to reimburse you if your work exploded.

I really enjoyed the class and has definitely made me keen to do more pottery making. Everything was explained so well and the passion from the teachers was lovely. The studio is very nice and atmosphere of class was great. Everyone left having made something and was fun to be able to both try the wheel and do pinch pots too. I would highly recommend and a huge thank you to Nam and Cherry for your teaching and help. I’ll be recommending this intro class and intend to sign up to the beginners course soon.

My partner & I really enjoyed the taster workshop class. Rosa is a great, skilled tutor, with a relaxed teaching style and good pacing. We never felt rushed and both made multiple pieces. We were afraid the studio would be cold inside, but it was fine. Bonus: we got the Ghost movie song on the radio while we were throwing!

Hak was great and Cherry was efficient, granted I don’t believe Pottery is my true calling in life it was a good class w/ teacher led learning and ample time to create 2-3 pieces even for beginners. I stopped at one as it was pretty ugly anyway and I was cold. Only thing to note was yes the room is cold as it’s a warehouse type building so wrap up as only one of the two rows of stations had overhead heating, I didn’t notice til 2/3 of way through class and we were all on the unheated side, so would have been proactive of the teachers to just bring over some of the multiple heaters dotted around for the cold side without being asked but we move. No pictures as I was too cold to care at that point.
