“The lino cutting class was very good as a starter class. It gave the background information needed. I found the teacher was jolly, clear and encouraging.
I felt confident when cutting and it was easier than I thought it might be.
My criticism was that the ink supplied wasn't easy to work with, it dried too quickly. Also, there needed to be a bit more thought into what sort of print can be achieved in the time given for the class. So the designs could be simpler.
Finally, this is a taster class but a more advanced class would be welcome.”
“Great class with fun tutor. Explained everything clearly with lots of additional hints and tips.
Having tried lino printing in school many years ago, I was able to use the class to get a reminder, and to boost my confidence in trying the craft again.
I didn't use the template provided as I wanted something more useful for lio printing Christmas cards. A pack of simple cards and envelopes were provided as part of the kit Hobbycraft supplied.
The class was an hour and a half, just enough time to complete the cutting and trial prints.
Highly recommended x”
“I really enjoyed it. Will definitely have another go on my own. The transfer method we were shown worked well with a 2B pencil. I was a bit behind on my cutting, but will try the printing stage when I have more time. Thanks.”
“Really enjoyed this class. I’d never tried Lino printing before, but the tutor explained everything really well and at the end of the session I was really pleased with what I had achieved. I’m looking forward to continuing to work on what we did in the class at home.”
“Excellent class! Everything arrived in time even though i only booked three week before. Great materials and tools and the class was brilliant. Will definitely be booking another one.”
