This is a fun activity in Clapham, London

Join us for a fun, creative, and relaxing evening to explore 3 hand-building techniques pinching, coiling, and slab-building. Using the combined skills you can then create up to 2 pieces, which will then be bisque-fired, dipped in our beautiful stoneware glazes, and fired again. The results are stunning! You receive your posted creations within 4-8 weeks, imagine the magical moment when you open your box to reveal the results!

The vessels/pots can be for functional ware or try small sculptural work. You are welcome to come with your own ideas during the mindful 2.5 hours of making with the full support of an experienced ceramic tutor to help you realise your creative design ideas. No experience is necessary as the session is beginner-friendly as well for the more advanced participants.

The popular venue is our stunning Art4Space community arts centre, which is an inclusive, supportive, respectful, welcoming, safe space for everyone. Proceeds go towards our community art projects, providing mental well-being and creative health, especially for those facing barriers.

For private bookings, we can also arrange to come to your venue. Please note it is £54 per person for 2-2.5-hour workshop, plus travel expenses. We are flexible with timing; day, evening or weekend, according to availability. We have capacity for 6-30 at our studio, we can do larger if at your venue.

If you want to book this for a young person (12yrs+) or come together, please speak to us - we are happy to help.

Amazing 2.5 hour workshop! So mindful and relaxing. John was a fantastic teacher. If he worked in a school he’d be everyone’s favourite teacher by a mile off. He was very calm, encouraging and helpful! Really enjoyed the snacks and great drink selection, it was a nice touch. We got given the class as a wedding gift and so happy we went, it was great. Highly recommend

The experience is a true treat for inner child - relaxing and creative! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the space too. The teachers were tad too fast for me but then explained the techniques I missed to me personally.

So hands on and really welcoming insightful teaching, it was a creative calm environment, with a glass of wine just let your imagination run free. A wonderful birthday present and you get to glaze what you make!

My friends and I love our hand building pottery class - we had such a great evening in a lovely, relaxed environment. Our teacher was wonderful at explaining the different techniques, and he was super helpful at making sure each of us realised our vision for our pottery pieces. It also felt like great value for money. Would highly recommend as a gift for anyone who loves creative things, or as a treat for yourself!
