AIR CONDITIONED!
Just a 2-minute walk from London Bridge station, discover the calming joy of pottery at Maison S.Sommet.

Perfect for complete beginners, this relaxed 2-hour wheel throwing class is a chance to unwind, get messy and create your own functional ceramics in our warm and welcoming studio. Guided step-by-step by our expert teachers, you’ll learn the foundations of wheel throwing before creating your own cup, bowl or ceramic vessel. Even complete beginners are often surprised by what they create in just one session.

We provide everything you need including unlimited clay, tools and aprons — just dress comfortably and trim your nails beforehand for the best experience.

At the end of the session, select your favourite pieces to be professionally glazed and kiln-fired in your choice of our signature Cobalt Blue or Clear stoneware glaze for £10 per piece. Finished ceramics are food-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe, and are usually ready for collection within 4–5 weeks.

Perfect for date nights, birthdays, friends or solo creatives looking to try something new in London. Bring your own favourite drinks to top your experience!

Our studio is fully equipped with air conditioning — ideal for escaping the heatwave.

Clay, music, good company and your new favourite mug.

I don’t know what our teachers name was, but we went on the 27th of April at 6:30, and she was the nicest human ever.

A really great class - we booked a private class as there were 8 of us so meant we were down the end of the studio. Liza was really friendly and was very clear with instructions. She came and helped when we needed it and we all finished with something resembling a pot / bowl / cup! BYOB was great too and a really fun evening. One of my friends had a broken arm and was still able to make something too

Really fun way to spend an evening and would absolutely recommend. Great teacher and good to get an accessible hands on experience of using a wheel to make a pot type thing! Can’t wait to see the finished result when I collect.

My boyfriend and I did enjoy it, but the teacher got there a bit late and nothing was set up. It took her ages to get set up and then some of the electrics weren't working. I feel that she should have got there earlier and checked everything was working and had everything set up ready. We started the lesson 10 minutes late at 11:10, but she got us to pack away and clean up at 12:30, more than half an hour before the lesson was supposed to end, as we should have been given the extra 10 minutes. My son had paid for a 2 hour class. We were also frozen as the door has to be left open. Perhaps a warning about wearing lots of layers, would have been useful.
