Pottery Taster Class: Hand Building and Wheel Throwing Reviews

5 Rating 27 Reviews
Loved the class, it was well run. The organizer made it fun and gave clear instruction, not a large class size so had plenty of time to get around and help/guide individuals when needed It was also lovely to have the opportunity to throw and hand build in one class! I would definitely recommend and will return

Really great experience, supportive instructor and a relaxed setting where it was acceptable to just have fun and give it a go. Made 7 pieces between us to take away, extra cost £2.50 per piece to fire kiln which is reasonable.

Spent an enjoyable afternoon in Woburn learning the basics of wheel throwing and hand building. Controlling the wheel takes some getting used to! The teacher was excellent- helpful, patient and always there with a guiding hand and advice. The session also included hand building, which I was slightly better at! I would highly recommend the session as a fun afternoon - great therapy!

Really enjoyed the class at Woburn sands today. 1hr on the wheel and 1hr sculpting clay. The 2 ladies were lovely. Good teaching and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended. Thanks again.

Fred was very patient and taught us what to do well, while still allowing us to make our own choices in what we were making. We enjoyed the wheel pottery as well as hand making session, the vibe in the room was very relaxing and calming. All of the staff we very helpful and kind. A fantastic experience!

Sorry don’t know their names but the guy and girl doing the session were excellent and helping but not taking over so we felt the work good or bad was ours! The guy took it slow showing us how to make a bowl or mug then left us to it. Give yourself time to get there as parking is a nightmare in Woburn Sands! They do charge £2.50 per item to fire your bits but that actually nice then any that don’t work out you aren’t paying for firing.

I took my mum for an early birthday present. We had an awesome time, learnt so much from our teacher. She was lovely and very helpful! It was so calming and we lost ourselves whilst there. We will be back soon to decorate our pieces. Thank you! :)
