“I bought this class as a gift for my best friend' birthday. She had always wanted to try pottery, and this was a great introduction. Both teachers were lovely and so helpful. The instructions they gave were clear and easy to follow. Extra help was always on hand when needed. We each threw two pots on the wheel and however many hand built items we had time, and clay for. They also have kits that you can purchase to use at home. Such a lovely day and we will be looking out for some of their other sessions. Thank you”
“We had a great session. Amanda, our tutor was excellent. Having never done it before we chose the 2 hour class with throwing and hand building. For others who haven’t thrown before I would recommend the 1.5 hr class focussed only on the throwing/wheel as that was the best bit. Throwing is so much harder than it looks but under Amanda’s guidance I made two pots that will actually be useful! It was so satisfying to see the improvement between throw 1 and throw 2. An excellent mindful activity!”
“It was the first time we tried building something ourselves without the wheels, and really enjoyed it!
The second part of the course was on the wheel, and we both learned a lot.
We're looking for forward to picking up our creations and paint them.
I really recommend this course/taster as it's really relaxing and great fun!
Please note that this is fully wheelchair accessible! ♿”
“Whatever your reservations are, all you need to know is that this is an excellent way to spend a few hours with your friend, partner or family member.
It's loads of fun, perfect for people looking not to take it too seriously and equally, the freedom to be a perfectionist, with a great teacher who let's you work in your own way.
You'll also learn vital basics of throwing. Which as I now know, is not as easy as it looks in the movies.
I went with my partner and it was a delightful morning.”
