“I had a wonderful time - our instructor was Akiko who was very patient and nice. Two hours whizzed right by! We first watched her throw as she taught us the techniques, then we were given two chances to make something to put what we’ve learnt into practice while she walks around to guide us. Very pleased that I got to make a cup and a bowl with this package. I opted for the top up to have it glazed and shipped to me too. Well worth the money that gives you a good basic intro to pottery/throwing.”
“We had a fantastic time at Columbia Road Clay. The session was instructive but also really good fun. Mallory was a great teacher who wanted to make sure that we not only came away feeling good about having successfully actually made something (not as trivial as it sounds!) but that we also got a feel for the basic techniques involved in throwing so that we had a foundation to build on if we decided to try it again in future. The small class size (4 people) meant that we got individual instruction, which was really helpful, and there was a really fun atmosphere. I'd recommend this class to anyone and would be really keen to have another go at throwing in future.”
