Mark is a very thorough and patient teacher and we really enjoyed the experience. It was a great opportunity to see what is involved in working with glass and gave me a whole new appreciation of what artists achieve.

This class made me want to become a glass blowing enthusiast! Not your run of the mill cocktail or cheeseboard making course. Glass blowing is so unique and exciting with glass being such a malleable medium to play with. Mark the teacher is highly professional with over 40 years of experience and gives you plenty of time to play around, but also plenty of guidance. You get to make two different items in this class working with a solid glass rod initially to appreciate how glass works with heat, and then “blowing” glass. The location is light, airy found in the back streets of Marrickville. With all materials provided, and tea or water if you need a bit of hydration after working over the flame. Don’t think twice about booking. I have so much interest and respect for the skill now and have two little mementos of the class which I love.

I totally recommend taking this Glass Blowing Class, I found Mark’s instructions easy to follow and when my creation changed in direction he gave me assistance to rectify my project (mess) to become a purposeful result. Great encouragement given when our finished pieces were handed out at the end of class after they had come out of the oven.
