David, you seemed very stressed. I enjoyed the class however it was a lot of time waiting. We could have thrown 2pots in the time easily. I would like to ask David to slow your words down too. Be a bit more prepared before the class would have been easier for you and better for the students. Free advice.

Most of the class was spent listening to a lecture about the history of pottery. While somewhat interesting, that's not why we were there. We were only given one piece of clay and were told that we must all progress at the same pace. Since there were 17 people in the class, 90% of the practical component was either waiting for other people, or watching the instructor do our pottery for us. We weren't even allowed to centre our own clay. Since we barely had any time to complete our piece, a lot of people had their work destroyed and hastily rebuilt by the instructor before our time was up. I've been to other wheel classes in which we're given some very good instructions and advice, and unlimited clay, and we are encouraged to experiment and have fun. This class was the very opposite of that.

Our teacher was fantastic, expertly dealing with a class of 18 novices. Regardless of how many times we stuffed up, he was able to get us back on track so that, by the end, we had all made something to be proud of. Thoroughly enjoyable!

A really fun beginners class to wheel throwing and the teacher was super friendly. However my machine/pedal was a bit defective as the wheel kept moving on its own and my bowl was thrown off at the final stage, so the assistant had to do my bowl from scratch :( that was a bit devastating but I had a good time overall.

The teacher was wonderful! She handled it all with ease and made a big group feel personal. Plenty of fun and really educational which I loved. It would be great to have time to make a couple of pieces - maybe if the class was smaller? We all enjoyed it so much.
