“The class was ok. I have done a ring making workshop elsewhere previously where we got to do the whole process; cutting the silver down, measuring, filing, stamping, soldering, filing, polishing - everything. It was run like a class.
This experience was quite different and much less interactive. After measuring what size we wanted, the teachers cut to size, we stamped what we wanted on it, the teacher soldered it together and then we filed it down.
I would like to add that the soldering job was very poor. The join was very obvious, not straight and uneven. The soldering done was much worse than the one I had done myself previously and it was my first time. I was very unhappy with this aspect of the experience and wish we got to do the whole process ourselves, with guidance of course.
The rings turned out ok, and the sentimental value makes them irreplaceable. However, I would not recommend this facility/workshop.”
