“We had a pool for 10 years and had Algae problems constantly. No matter what we did and how well we looked after the pool we still got algae. So when we installed a new pool in the summer of 2018 we decided to go with the ionizer. So here after 1 complete year NO ALGAE. I was so amazed after we opened the pool. None not a sign of it. Even our steps look whiter (There was green algae inside the steps that turned black and disappeared). I cannot believe how well this works. I called Clear blue because the pool places do not seem to know as much as they should and the customer service is awesome. I was in fact using about 60 percent less chemical but customer services told me the appropriate things to use, now I would says I am using 90 plus percent less.. I would say after 2 seasons it is paid for. This technology is amazing. We now swim and the pool is basically maintenance free and close to chemical free. Clear Blue you are AWESOME.”
“We love our ClearBlue ionizer. Using so few chemicals is great for the environment, our skin and hair, and our wallets. Just wish you would expand the retailers who carry it in my area. We weren't crazy about dealing with your exclusive retailer.”
“The ClearBlue Ionizer has kept my pool water crystal clear and stabilized with little to no maintenance. Just need to add one or two stabilized pucks of chlorine every 2 to 3 weeks depending on the usage of swimming but all other after level readings ie. ph, etc. remaking good and constant due to the Ionizer system.
Had an issue with the Ionizer system but it was quickly and efficiently dealt with the company. I rate the ClearBlue Ionizer and company 5+ stars.”
“This is an excellent product in keeping the pool crystal clean with very low chlorine (using 1 aquafoot and 1 aquarius puck per week to maintain around 1ppm on a 30000 galon pool, 18x42). Although all parameters are within range ( PH 7.5, Copper 0.3ppm, TA 100, temp avg 80F), there is an invisible slime on the bottom and this seem to require shocking, or raising the FC to 5ppm at least to properly oxidize, as the pucks are not enough to keep the slime not forming. I have new sand in the filter, vacuum 2 times a week, after shocking the bottom feels normal but within a week it becomes slippery again, could be due to the mostly sunny wheather? There is little usage of the pool, myself and my wife using it daily for about 30 mins.”
Thanks for the great review Emilian! If you have any slimy areas, it usually means that there is not enough oxidizing which can happen in a low chlorine pool. As you say, the shock will clear this up. We recommending shocking weekly (or after heavy usage) to ensure that you don't have this build up. You can use chlorine or non-chlorine shock. Enjoy!
“When replacing my liner last year, I considered salt, then chose the ClearBlue Ionizer as it offered a really powerful alternative to salt or traditional chlorine. The system was dead simple to install, and after a few tweaks, it is now absolutely trouble-free. The water quality is extraordinary, and it has no taste or smell... just clarity. Mike Assad and his team have guided me along the way with a few phone consultations, and have always been timely and super helpful with their responses. A GREAT system - this is the next generation of pool care!”
