“Love the customer service I receive from Clif & Pebble. I bought my Appartamento from them, and knew I had to buy my next grinder from them.
The E37S delivers great consistent quality grinds. It is fast and possibly the quietest grinder I've ever heard. I can barely hear it when the motor is running and it has almost a therapeutic sound to it when you hear the grinds going through the burrs. Grinds fall extremely fluffy! I was hesitant that the touch screen would be too sensitive, but it's not, it's actually really nice (and I generally dislike touchscreens over manual buttons). The interface for adjusting shot time for both doses and other functions is also very easy to use.
But the main reason I went with the E37S was the worm-gear. I love the idea of having leverage behind the adjustment collar. The worm-gear (Quickset) has a smooth feel and definitely has tension, so you know the top burr is locked in and not going anywhere once adjusted. The worm-gear makes dialing in the coffee that much more fun.
Once dialed in properly (and broken in - it takes some time!), the 83mm burrs produce a great espresso. Very smooth and well textured.
All in all, I really like the E37S and can't wait to keep exploring with it. Hopefully this grinder will be used for many years to come.
