“I have assembled the new unit quite easily. The hands went on ok but I still have a problem. I can not for the life of me , get the second hand to work properly I rang your shop and was advised to attach it lightly> I have tried but it only works for about half a rotation. For the moment I have given up and I am left with a butiful stump that has a clock face that does not work.”

Hi Barry, Thank you for your feedback. I can see from your order that you didn't purchase hands with your replacement movement. In this case, it is difficult to determine what may be causing the issue however it sounds as though there isn't enough friction when you push the second hand on the pin arbour. Some of the second hands have a metal tube that you can very gently squeeze closed ever so slightly to provide a little more friction and therefore it doesn't slip on the arbour. Give this a go and if you're still havning trouble I would suggest replacing the second hand with a new one. Warm Regards, Clock Shop Team

“Holly was very helpful and provided a replacement movement for a special clock in The Corral. The clock face is the sundial from my father's memorial which was damaged some years ago. It now takes pride of place in an area where I spend a lot of time :)”

“The movement was an exact replacement (Brand /type) for my father-in-law's clock, which he had replaced the battery and accidentally left in front of a heater. Original movement was 20+ years old.”
