“This was purchased to replace an ATO M1000 C-battery movement. Unfortunately, the shaft for the hour hand was too thick for the hour hand to slide on, & the socket for the second hand spindle, too large for the second hand to work. My attempt to modify damaged the hour hand. Will be checking your site for the same movement complete with hands when they become available.”

Hi Paul, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry the movement you selected wasn't the correct replacement. There are many variables to consider and some of the earlier movements such as the Junghans movement you're referring to have different shaft dimensions as you have found out. Your review reflects poorly on the movement you selected however it appears that you simply didn't choose a suitable replacement for your existing hands. If you wish to use this same movement as your replacement you can find an extensive range of hands to suit the UTS movements here https://www.clockshop.com.au/parts/german-fit-hands/. Alternatively, you could send your original movement in to our clockmaker to see if he can repair it. If it is possible this would keep the clock and the hands original. “I purchased the U.T.S. Quartz Clock Movement for l wanted to match the exact same Movement that the clock already has. The clock was found in a tip shop and needed a new home. It was nice to be able to pull the clock apart and put it together again. Something l have never done before.”
