Alright folks, I usually do not do reviews, but I feel that I owe it to all folks like me who saw mixed reviews and was unsure. Let me set the stage here. I have insomnia and sleep apnea which makes it very hard to get a good nights rest. Therefore, I get stoned before I go to bed at night to help me get to sleep. I do some recreational smoking, but mostly just to get to sleep at night. I currently have a PAX 3 and have been using it since it came out. I love that PAX, however I have been looking for something that is not as harsh on my throat as I get to the end of the vape session. Enter the hydrology 9. I find that I am able to stretch my session and turn over the flower using the agitator on the bottom getting MORE out of my flower and zero throat issues. I drain the water after every session, brush out any debris, blow dry with a USB fan and wipe down. This seems like a lost of work, but it is really not much if you do it every day. The water in there does stink and should be rinsed out after use IMO. Once a week, I clean inside by pulling the glass and wiping down with alcohol as well. I will say that I get some huge hits and get more out of the same herb as my PAX. My PAX 3 is not going anywhere, and is still a very compact and inconspicuous device that I will continue to use on the road. pros huge hits cool hits (temperature) incredible build that is machined to perfection cons 2 minute session before cool down (not a big deal, as I just hit the power button once, but still an annoyance) The leather case does not have a side storage for my packing and cleaning utensils. It is still a very nice case that I feel will protect pretty well against breaking while traveling I wish that I could turn the lights completely off for a stealth mode. I will probably hit up the craft supply chain somewhere and make a thin sleeve that can cover the glass

Has some pros, has a few cons too. The main con being airflow. The holes are too small, the airflow is choked. There looks to be a tiny filter inside that you can't get too (white paper looking with pin holes in it) , mine was pretty gunked up after just one session. Even after unscrewing the tiny little mesh grate at the bottom (also gunks up easy) and completely removing it. Feel like the air intake hole needs drilled out with a larger gauge drill bit. Even with the chamber empty. Good for a novelty smoke but over all I'm disappointed. $250? Well, don't I feel silly.

Love the aesthetics of it and i don't mind the size i think its the perfect size. My only reasons for not giving it a full 5 stars is i wish the battery lasted longer and the highest setting still doesn't really deliver the strong hit I'm looking for. Other than that its a great product that i would recommend.

Now that I've used my Hydrology9 for a few weeks, I must compliment you on your design and materials. The threading of the pieces always fit cleanly and securely. The size, weight, feel, and look of the unit compliment for a pleasurable experience. I would give an excellent review except for one feature; "the one button to rule them all". Often it takes several attempts just to turn the unit on. If you don't have the exact timing required then nothing happens. I have never been able to turn the unit off from the POWER ON mode by pressing the operational button three times as described in the user manual. Any attempt puts the unit into a reheat mode. I therefore just let Hydrology9 idle off. If the battery is too low the battery life display function will not function. Recharging is required. I see that if a medical cannabis user has any kind of physical hand limitations, the single button option may be too challenging. As you have shown through your evolution of design you are willing to make changes. I would like to see a dedicated on/off switch and separate function buttons. The lava lamp and party mode though visual don't really add anything to the use and may case user frustration by inadvertently entering an unwanted function. Overall I do believe you have the best water vaporizer on the market. I am just not a fan of the single button approach and view it as a potential weak point in the design.
