“First and foremost, I am not a coffee expert nor a coffee machine expert so consider this as an entry level review.
I usually use a plunger to get my morning coffee cups, one scoop equal two small cups or about 200 ml of coffee which I consider strong enough.
Using the same dosage in the Bellman Expresso maker produce about 150 ml of Expresso machine quality and taste definitely better or widely different from the coffee obtained from the plunger, so you have to be ready for a change.
To obtain the same concentration of coffee for a number of 3 to 9 shots you will have to fill a container then distribute in cups as the steam cleans the grounds pretty fast.
In brief there is a learning curve as to what is defined as a shot of coffee.
The Expresso maker is easy to operate, filling the dose is a bit tricky with the central bolt in the way.
Cleaning is easy. I was attracted by the aesthetics and quality of the Product.
I give it four stars, definitely a step above the plunger for taste and aroma and pretty close to Expresso machines.
A bit fiddly to fill up and your usual coffee grounds will taste different so there will be a period of experimentation with other brands and coarseness types which should be fun.”

“I bought this for camping, as I wanted a stovetop coffee maker that could also do lattes. It is built solid as a tank. Very good quality. I like the pressure gauge, which is great for knowing the correct pressure for the espresso and also the milk.
The lattes that I made tasted really great.
I doubt that the pressure available is able to produce a decent Crema, and I doubt that latte art could be done, but overall I am happy with my purchase. There is no need to buy the optional tamper, but the paper discs are recommended to keep the coffee ground free.”
