“For anyone thinking of getting a pleasurable and accurate scale for filter coffee brewing, I'd look no further. I was tempted to go higher end and I have used higher end scales when working in the coffee industry, but this serves my home brewing needs perfectly. The 0.1g accuracy is important for dialling in good ratios, and the timer is fantastic and intuitive. Some reviewers complain about a slight lag in the grams displaying when you pour water, and this is right - there is a half-second delay. But that is nothing in filter-making terms where being a gram or two off in the final yield is acceptable (in espresso this yield difference can change the taste dramatically). Other reviewers complain about the blank top of the scale. This was not an issue for me, although I reckon this black scale, which makes it easy to read the white numbers, would be better than the white version, where the numbers would be difficult to read.”
