“I am extremely happy with this machine.
My old Miss Silvia v2 died and I decided to go for this upgrade.
It is ready to make great espresso about 15-20 mins after being switched on.
There is so much that is better about this machine than the Miss Silvia standard:
Built-in PID, pre-infusion, empty water tank is detected and machine doesn't run dry ability to simultaneously pull a shot, get water from the spout on the left and steam milk in a jug on the right (if you like doing 3 things at once - I don't), automated backflush cycle, auto standby, auto-on
So why not 5*?
There is no visual "wow" factor - it's not an object of beauty- it's a workhorse that gets the job done.
The drip tray is annoying to get in and out - you need to tilt the front up to get it over a lip, which means you will spill the contents if you let it get over half-full.
These things were less important to me than the overall utility of this machine which is excellent”
