“Using a 58mm Breville portafilter with a dosing funnel, I initially had problems with the portafilter moving. Have changed to an E61 portafilter and everything is rock solid with fluffy grounds & nil clumping. Weight is within 0.2 gm.”
“Excellent grinder! I replaced my Niche with this grinder (3 months ago) as I wanted to just weigh my beans for the day and be done. I was intrigued by the weight dose on this grinder and read as many reviews as possible. I know Eureka have a strong reputation and wasn’t put off by most of the comments complaining about the FH error.
From day 1 this has been an accurate, well built grinder producing beautiful coffee grounds. The FH error isn’t an issue if you don’t leave the portafilter sitting there before you select the shot. Put it in, press to grind and remove. I also found it works best with my smaller Rocket dosing funnel rather than the larger Eureka one. If I get the FH error (which is very rare) I remove the portafilter and either check the height of the prongs (reset) or just wait a sec and put back in.
I often check the accuracy of the dose and it’s either spot on or no more than 0.1/0.2 difference.
Easy to adjust if needed to keep the accuracy of the coffee recipes and cleaning is simple. Just remove the top (check YouTube for the video) and clean out.
Absolutely love it and really worth the money spent. I make anywhere from 2-5 coffees a day with it and have owned it for 3 months.
It’s well made, not loud and very consistent. For the price it’s a bargain.”
“The Eureka Mignon Libra has completely changed the way coffee tastes! I now have much more consistent results with a far more complex flavour profile. The grind by weight feature makes dosing so easy, I'm loving making coffee fathomed again!”
“I elected to purchase the Eureka Mignon Libra as it grinds to weight rather than time and consider the items received to be well-packaged/presented. The Dosing Funnel alleviates the mess and waste and saving the coffee when I get it right.”
“Prior to purchasing this grinder, I've spent a lot of time reading comments that other buyers have left, and a lot of them were negative, most of them were going on about the error message on the portafilter holder. To be honest, I too have the error popping up, but only on the first few days when I was still figuring out the grind settings. However I do not have the error at all since I got everything set up. I just needed to ensure the portafilter or the funnel is pushed against the back of the holder and BAM it works every single time.
I'm a slow learner, I've spent about 150g of the free coffee to dail in the grinder, but since then, the coffee was very consistent, I didn't have to touch the settings anymore. I do not use any WDT, and yes I see what others are saying that there are some crumbs straight out of the grinder, but guess what it is fine for me, I didn't get any channeling from the very beginning, so I don't see a need to do WDT.
I've been using the Libra for about 1.5 weeks now, pulling 3 coffees a day, more in the weekend. I've been very happy overall. It is very low maintenance.
The only con for me is that it's still quite loud despite how other have described this as a quiet grinder, just with a less annoying pitch.”
