“This bad design doesn't add a lot of pellets maybe a 1/2 a bag not what I expected at all. the instructions were at best readable and didn't mention the modification I had to make. the hpper is going to have to be completly removed just to get to the bottom of the hopper where the auger is just to perform regular maintance because their is a grate across the bottom of the extension that doesn't remove. Also the electrical extension to the control panel barely reaches”
“Overall it works great. Extends my burn time. But the instructions for insulation were not correct. I installed on an HP22 and the mechanism to keep the open lid sensor down did not fit this pellet stove. But I rigged something so it works. Also the grid in the bottom, I guess to keep you from sticking your hand down there, kept the pellets from falling into the stove. I cut it out.”
“The 32lb Hopper Extension for the HP61 is heaven-sent. I now get about over 12-18 hrs of burn time before having to refill. The stove is much much easier to fill given the extensions' design. There was a small glitch with a missing part but it was remedied immediately.”
“The hopper extension was the greatest thing I've bought for my HP 21 now I have to fill it less. This has been a great heater. I've had it for a while as long as you clean it it will give you good heat.”
“This fixes two of the biggest issues with the HP22 by allowing the hopper to fit more than a 45lb bag of pellets and safely disabling the lid switch. These fixes have substantially reduced our "low temperature" errors by keeping the fire fed consistently. It could be slightly bigger.”
