This is our second season with the Comfort Built HP22-SS as we retired our old 1997 Whitfield Quest. This Comfort Built Stove is Great! This stove is simple to run and easy to clean, it burns about a bag and a half every 24-hrs. The main part of the house is toasty and the bedrooms stay cooler. It would be nice to have a variable speed fan.

I'm writing this review after our first winter season, now heading into our second winter season. First off, we couldn't be HAPPIER about our ComfortBilt Pellet Stove (HP22-SS Black)! It kept us extra warm all winter for our 2500 sq ft house. We supplemented it with our gas furnace as needed, or sometimes just went exclusively with the Pellet Stove. We probably used a couple dozen bags of pellets over the 3 1/2 months of use. Loading the hopper is the fun part which will take about a bag and a half. Shipping was problem free. For installation I called a local fireplace store and they recommended me to an independent fireplace installer, and I'm so glad I did because the installer helped to troubleshoot the problems we had during startup, and gave me recommendations based on our setup that would have been completely over my head had I tried to install it myself. On first start up as per instructions in the manual, make sure and open the windows and stay out of the room until the chemicals burn off inside the firebox, cause you can definitely smell it and will give you a headache if you don't. Overall it's a great investment and we're so glad we got our ComfortBilt Pellet Stove. Lots of memories with our first season with our young family as we would pray our evening prayers around the fire before bedtime with the kids. Even a few romantic dates around the fireplace with my Wife. An important note for families with young children: it's a REALLY good idea to get to get some kind of a fireplace screen to protect the kids from accidentally burning their hands on the hot glass of the Pellet Stove. It was our very first purchase after we got the fireplace, and this is the fireplace guard that we found was big enough for our ComfortBilt Pellet Stove (HP22): https://www.homedepot.com/p/88-in-L-Black-3-Panel-Large-Child-Fireplace-Guard-SCR-13/315294179#overlay
