“I have had the stove approx. two years and so far relaced the igniter 5 times. Considering I dont use the stove all summer the longevity of the igniters is extremely lacking!”
“Igniter is ok. Doesn’t last. Have bought 3 since I’ve bought the stove. Don’t see any reason to buy the more expensive igniter. If I have to buy another I’ll most likely buy a different brand of pellet stove”
“4 year old igniter finally gave up the ghost. The new gen1 igniter from Comfortbilt was relatively easy to install. My wife lined up and centered the new igniter with a paper clip from the front of the stove, as I tightened it down. Easy peasy. I expected a fight with the clip to disconnect the white. Absolutely no problem. Couldn’t be easier. The new igniter fired up the HP61 in under a minute. I’m very happy!”
“This is my second replacement. The original went in less than a season. We figured it was how we had the settings on the stove so we adjusted how we did things to use the igniter over half as much less but again it lasted just less than a season. I’m now assuming thats just the lifespan and will need to buy backups to have on hand late Feb when this one fails.”
