ComfortBilt Igniter for Our Pellet Stoves HP21 Reviews

4.1 Rating 189 Reviews
Expensive price for the part. The part goes out after 1000 lights. Which is every 4-5 months for us. It's our main source of heat for our old farm house. If we knew this, we wouldn't have bought the pellet stove. We have talked with customer service and they say to put it on a thermostat and it still didn't help. It is what it is now.

After the replacement for the new one I bought, it appears to be working correctly. This is the third year I have had this heater and I have put two or three igniters in. Other than the igniters going out everything seems to be great.

When I called customer support, I was told I needed to provide proof of purchase for our pellet stove, which I did. A few days later I received a new igniter in the mail and we installed it. We did a trial run with it, and it worked fine. As our heating season isn't until October or November, we will definitely be using it then. Our order process was smooth with no problems. Actually looking forward to the heating season, that's how much we like our new pellet stove.

Igniter was received and installed with little effort. Only problem is I expected to last more than one winter. Still waiting for stainless steel fire pot.

I would give it a 1. We actually bought 2 stoves. one for downstairs and one upstairs. The one upstairs kept smoking, a lot! We had to get on the phone multiple times and have them change the settings. in the end, we had to hire a painter because of all the smoke damage to our ceilings in our home. It was a joke! It shouldn't take several times of changing settings. it was ridiculous!!! While the guy Jonathan was very helpful, we still had to incur $1500 for a painter. And we still have soot on some walls which we will have to have cleaned professionally.

While the customer service response was very good, the igniter failure rate is concerning. While in the Temp mode using the ECO option, the igniter won't last one winter.
