“Overall I am very satisfied with the look I have as I can actually see better with my eyes more open. And, of course, the look is much approved. Two comments I have is the difficulty I have applying the strips but I am getting better at it!! Secondly, I have not been able to successfully apply eye shadow even with the base I purchased from you. Any ideas?”
Hello Patricia,
For best results, the correcting strips should apply to the bare skin before any makeup, oils, or moisturizers. We recommend using our Eyelid Prep Pads to prepare the skin for LIDS BY DESIGN. The strip and the skin are two different surfaces, so makeup will inherently take two different ways. To avoid this, use our Transforming Shadow Base over the strip and eyelid to make everything one smooth surface. This base was specially designed to work with the strips as it is oil-free and will not interfere with the adhesive! Make sure the shadow base dries out completely before applying, like 2-4 mins drying time, this allows the shadows to be more pigmented and last all day long.
“The only downside is sometimes it takes 2 or three tries to get the placement right and I find you have to toss them once you've tried applying because then you can see them at the edges. Otherwise a real game changer of a product!”
Hello Carla,
Although the strips are not reusable, you can use one that's been improperly placed over again as a practice strip until you find your perfect placement! Remember they will not be transparent or sticky but you can still find placement with them. When you find your sweet spot, put a fresh one in that location!
“These definitely work!! They take a little bit of a learning curve to put on right but when they are on, you can definitely see the difference!! My eyes are brighter and lids are noticable again!”

“I was very surprised by the resulted effect! Applying it takes a few tries to know where it should be placed on your own individual eye lids but the instructions and videos are very supportive.”
