Really like the concept of this and it is very tasty especially with scrambled eggs. Again, sadly one of the packs was nearly completely defrosted on delivery though, so had to consume quickly.

I tried this lamb bacon because I was curious. So what did it taste like? Well, we all know what pork bacon tastes like, so the strong taste of 'lamb' in what looks like bacon, at first seemed odd! However, the flavour is exceptional and as I love lamb I will certainly be buying this again.

I get this for my Mum as she doesn't eat pork and she adores the lamb bacon.

Although it stuck together it made lovely crispy bacon to which I added mint sauce.

I buy the nitrate free pork bacon all the time and when I saw this I thought I should give it a try. We are a family of 4 and have a cooked breakfast every Sunday. Last week I cooked this but did not tell anyone what it was and then asked their opinion. All said it was OK but there was a strong preference for the usual Combe farm bacon. Interestingly when I told everyone what it was for some reason they were disgusted and did not like even the idea of lamb bacon at all! I of course knew what it was, and the idea of lamb bacon is fine with me, but personally I did not like this. The pieces of meat were very narrow and went quite hard with cooking rather than crispy. A lot of fat came off - more I think than with the normal bacon. The taste was rather odd, if I had thought it ordinary bacon I might have wondered whether there might possibly be something wrong with it. So this is a matter of taste I think. It may suit you or it may not.
