“I bought this because the flat backs ARE hard to insert. This does help, but not with the hard part of of inserting the earring. The difficult part is putting the earring into the back part, not inserting the back part into the ear!!! Still semi helpful, but not in the way I wanted.”

Flat backs can definitely be a learning curve. I'm glad the applicator helped a bit! Sometimes it helps to hold the front pin with a pair of tweezers and guide it that way in front of a mirror.
