“I bought the 2mm studs for a Christmas gift. They are very nice but very tiny, smaller than they appear in the picture. I will give the gift and perhaps exchange them if I need to.”
Hey Leona!
Thanks for leaving this review! I'm hoping the 2mm flat back worked out as your Christmas gift. We do have a 3mm option if that works better.
While we do our best to convey the look and size of our items in the description and in photos, we are always striving to make improvements!
If you have feedback on how we can better convey the size and any other details, we'd love to hear from you! Contact our customer service team via the chat feature on our website, or by email via hello@cordsclub.com. We'll look forward to hearing from you soon 🧡

“Bought this for my third lob piercing and I was worried that it'd be too big for what I was looking for but it was perfect! If you are looking for something small and not too showy, this is the perfect option for ya.”
“This is super cute but it was incredibly difficult to get the stud into the post. Because it’s so tiny it’s hard to make sure the pressure is distributing correctly and going in instead of bending more. I ended up folding up some toilet paper and using that between my finger and the stud to help better distribute the pressure. I haven’t had that issue with any other studs though, just these because they’re so small.”
“I love these so much for my 4th hole! They are the perfect piece to add to my ears without making them look like too much. The flat back is AMAZING and my ears have not hurt at all from sleeping OR from being sensative.”
“These are pretty small dots. I love them because I use them in my third piercing and I have a small space at that point of my ear. This is a great option for a smaller area piercing or if you’re wanting something less noticeable. They’re perfect for me and my piercing. I think this would be great in a cartilage piercing too. I love having more piercings but having smaller jewelry in so it looks cleaner and more classy. Perfect dainty earring and so comfortable. I’ve been struggling with this piercing and no other earrings felt good in it. These I don’t even notice.”
“Very cute however be warned that they're not good for healing! I had bought these to put in my lobes that were pierced over a month ago to downsize and keep the healing process going. After I put them in they caused so many issues, the main issue being that they were a little short and the ball is so small that it kept nesting in my ear. It was very painful so I had them changed a few days later, which is also extremely painful because you have to pull very hard to take the earrings out. It's been over a week since I took them out and it's still tender and causing issues. Long story short, only use these on fully healed ears!”
Hi Rochelle,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the 2mm Dot Flat Back Studs. I'm sorry to hear that they were painful in your unhealed piercing! That's definitely not the experience that we hope you'll have with our comfy flat backs! <3
We always recommend that you wait to change your earrings until your piercing is fully healed, and that you downsize the size of your stud design under the direction of your piercer. Otherwise, you run the risk of aggravating your unhealed piercing even further when the size of the stud design is too small for your unhealed piercing (like you experienced). We'd recommend that you check in with your piercer for advice on next steps to take so your piercing can fully heal. We'd also love to help if you have any additional questions or concerns! You can reach us via the chat feature on our website, or via email at hello@cordsclub.com.
Best wishes,
