Excellent liner. Great deep navy blue. Good for tightlining. Lasts all day.

This came in a multi buy pack for context - and originally i thought it was a not-very-good black. That's the thing, though - I'm not a fan of navy, and i have hooded lids. However, i appreciate the difficulty in getting blue eyeliner. I think the mixed opinions about the retractable product are interesting, having only briefly used these liners. I think it's good to take both the pros and cons into account. Pros - you'll never be groping for a sharpener, and i suppose it's difficult to use kohl pencils beyond halfway, the gel formula offers certain advantages. Cons - you can't sharpen to a point so it's less precise, and perhaps as suggested it's much less cost efficient (difficult to tell early on if you don't want to risk the product breaking). On my hooded eyelids, this just looked like a poor quality black. But i experimented with using it as a brow pencil, and at that point it did look like a likeable dark blue product - worth recommending for people with blue hair or for various types for dress up. I will say that most pencils available in blue are at least 25%- 50% more expensive than this is currently offered at ($4.95 on sale). So this may be worth considering when taking into account affordability, as the same is not necessarily true of pencils in shades like black and brown.

This eyeliner makes you think you're getting far more than you actually get. It is not a pencil that you can sharpen, it's a roll out style tube with the "crayon" inside which is about 25% of the total length you see on the website. The photo shows how much you actually get. Better to go for an actual PENCIL that you can sharpen.
