“I use this in both oral and topical uses. It is very soluble in MCT (fractionated coconut oil). I make a base mix at 100mg CBD isolate per ml of MCT. Just stir and dissolve in a gentle heat with the mixing container sitting in a pot of gently boiling water (think double boiler). As soon as it goes clear it’s dissolved and you remove it from the heat.
By the way this mix of CBD and MCT seems compatible with most essential oils I tried except that DMSO does not mix with MCT based mixes - It separates. DMSO (100%, not the 70% version DMSO) itself will directly dissolve CBD as well according to my research - As will 90% alcohol (not the cheaper 70% variety alcohol) - either isopropyl (external use only) or ethanol (think Everclear).
The CBD MCT mix is completely odorless, clear, and has no taste to me.
This CBD isolate in MCT seems to work as well as commercial CBD oil mixes I have bought. But it saves me money! I use it for neuropathy (from chemotherapy) and for arthritis and to help me sleep.
