“The reviews are right. These boots are stiff. I was very surprised how effective these boots are for only having a two buckle design. The design allows for a great range of motion on tour mode while locking into ski mode very easily. The two sets of tongue inserts add two additional options to increase the forward flex stiffness over the option of not using the inserts. So far I have opted to not use the inserts for quick skin up and ski down outings while using the green, or the softer inserts to add some additional forward stiffness and control over the skis while just out resort skiing.
The overall fit of the boots seem typical of the specified size in terms of length, with a definitely noticeable narrow width in the forefoot and midfoot area.
After about a dozen or so 2000 vert skins, the liners seem to be fine in terms of wear points and I've been very impressed with the fact the boots seem to hardly be noticeable in terms of pressure points and are very efficient going up but give up nothing in terms of control on the way down.
The boots seem to have a shorter than typical shell outer length compared to other tech binding compatible boots so you may need to remount existing bindings to get the boot to proper center if you are swapping out boots on an existing binding and ski setup.”
