“The AXL binding has been working well. I have the stiffer springs installed which seems to have been the right call. No issues with icing. These switch back and forth from touring to skiing with ease.”
“These are great bindings that alow for powerful and aggressive turns in any type of snow. Their bomb-proof construction makes them them indestructible.”
“I'm 6'4" 200# and have used over the years every companies Tele-bindings and broke everyone. I skied hard and "this" one; although the heaviest feels and skis bomb proof. I ski on occasion moguls and the AXL are very responsive. I don't think the 22Design AXL's are going to fail me.”
“For those purists out there who can not give up the freeheels and back country travel is your bag then the axl binding comes very highly recommended. Generally the type to shy away from under foot cartrige bindings for there over progressive spring tension feel, this is the smoothest transitional binding I've used to date. Not being a weight weeny I've mounted my axls on the Kastle FX104s for the serious shredding. Rounding off the package with a Garmont 4 buckle boot, the axl allows for great control over the trailing ski for it provides superior pressure to the forward portion of the of the back ski. And with heels on skis, there is very little flex laterally through the cable, spring, bail assembly, so carving huge GS turns when legs give out is just as fun and capable as an alpine setup.. For ya'll out there who still telemark, Good for YOU!! Get these bindings and you will once again fall in love with the earning your turns.. Best of all, nothing fell apart or broke while using the axl, which I can not say that for many other products out there.”
