“These reads are easy to play, although a firm lip is required to get a good sound. There is a mild tendency for the reed to close up, perhaps because of the pressure that needs to be applied to get the sound right, but I would suggest that this reed is an excellent, safe choice for someone who wants to just pick up and play the reed straight out of the box.”
