“These staples are, hands down, the best staples I have ever used. True to their description, they do indeed produce a very full "bloom" to the sound and also contribute a marked increase in healthy resistance while also allowing for more tonal coloration options. I have completely switched over from cork and other all-metal tubes and now exclusively use Winfield staples due to the success I have had with each one I have purchased. I play on a Marigaux model 2001 oboe but have also used these staples in a Loree AK bore as well as a Rigoutat and have had similar results with those brands as well. I would not hesitate to recommend these staples to anyone wanting to expand their options. They do require a bit more air due to the increased resistance but I find the increased tone quality very much worth it.”
