“I found the cake to be bland, it was a yuzu and mango cake yet it did not have much of a citric punch, neither the sponge was soaked in flavour.
It was not a bad cake at all, but for abot 70 pounds I did not see much of a difference with cheaper alternatives I have tasted in the past.

“The cake was surprisingly sweet compared to other cakes that I have tried from Cutter and Squidge. It also didn't have much of a Yuzu or Mango flavour, just sweet with a citrus note which is rather disappointing as I bought the cake for someone else. However, my main disappointment lies with how the delivery was handled. I left a message noting a safe place for the cake to be left if they couldn't get through to me when delivering. I never received a call. In fact, the cake was just left in the main lobby of my building (which wasn't the safe place that I had identified) and a rather public place. If I hadn't checked my phone and seen an email confirming delivery, I would have had no idea that it was there and it would have been free for anyone to take!”

“This cake's recipe has definitely changed, I had it before at a wedding. The mango fillng is now most definitely apricot jam or similar with traces of mango, the buttercream does not taste as flavoursome and there are less white chocolate cripsies inside. I expected a cake that tasted as delicious as my previous experience and was disappointed. However I have ordered other cakes from you before and hope that this was a fluke. If the recipe has indeed changed, maybe to cut costs, then I ask to reconsider as it was one of your best.”
“The sponge was delicious and I loved that there wasn't icing on the outside. The pattern was lovely and the flavours were nice, but the mango flavour wasn't as strong and I found the icing inbetween the sponge too thick for my liking. It's definitely a crowd pleaser cake and overall very nice.”
