“This is a lovely gift for Eid, the packaging is pretty and so are the edibles. Those who received the gifts were very pleased. The delivery was also efficient. The reason why I have not given it 5 stars is because one of the items composes of some Shellac amongst other ingredients. There is a difference of opinion as to whether this is strictly halal (some interpret that it’s fine to consume while others differ). I think if you claim a product is halal you should strictly adhere to requirements of halal ingredients and avoid any which are doubtful, unfortunately some recipients of this gift were unable to consume all of the product due to this reason. In future, it may be best to either not claim it’s halal, or include a disclaimer that buyers should bear in mind the use of shellac, or just not claim it’s halal altogether.”
