The MGC Megaminx is part of YJ's new 'MGC' line of puzzles, which feature magnets in the puzzle straight out of the box, at a low price.
The colour shades on this puzzle are nicely fluorescent, more so of the X-Man Galaxy.
Out of the box, this cube has loose tensions, but has an amazingly fast speed (without popping).
Although this Megaminx doesn't have much lube out of the box, the speed of this puzzle makes setup unnecessary.
On the stock tensions, corner cutting is far sufficient, and is only slightly reduced when the puzzle is tightened.
The magnets aren't very noticeable while solving, but still do their job in keeping the puzzle together and stopping it from deforming.
If you want a new Megaminx or just want to upgrade from something like an X-Man Galaxy (V1 or V2), this puzzle is great in all aspects of performance, and value for money.”
