You definitely cannot beat the price! Locally, kilts are $120 and up. The kilt is 100% acrylic, but when worn “traditionally” feels a bit itchy at first like wool (specifically mohair). I recommend washing it first to soften the fabric. The straps are easy to connect unlike other more expensive kilts I have purchased. Definitely measure around the belly button and don’t wear it low like you would with jeans. Show some knee. The selvage should fall at the upper part of the knee. I suffer from spinal stenosis and the top band hits just the right spot to provide back and posture support. I seriously considered buying several and ditching pants altogether. The waist band is nice and heavy duty. The wide belt also adds to the support. I have not figured out the purpose of the satin lining on the backside. It is a bit high to sit on and just seems random to me. It does guide you to proper centering. If you have never worn a kilt before, I recommend underwear until you get comfortable moving and sitting in it. Crossing the ankles while sitting will keep the knees together and provide the right amount of modesty. I quickly learned to choose other options for things like a riding lawnmower. Definitely less restrictive than other options and gets more air circulation to keep you cooler.
